I have challenges starting and sticking to a healthy routine and required a space where I would have the support and tough love to just get me started and lay the foundation for some good habits. This was my motivation for joining the programme.
The programme was exactly what I was looking for at the time. The greatest benefit was starting a regime. Although I could not keep up with the daily demands, I was able to get about 3/4 sessions weekly which I have stuck to.
The non fitness aspects of the programme were aspects that I thought I would not gain much from but turned out to be very insightful and I learnt so much more than I thought.
The interactions with other like minded guys was the highlight of the programme for me. I realised the commonality between the issues I thought were unique, so it helped me realise that I actually was normal though for me I have to work a bit more on certain aspects.
In addition the weekly discussion sessions were helpful in processing my thoughts.
I did not envisage how much content was going to be covered so I could say I underestimated the content – I definitely got more than I bargained for and really would encourage it irrespective of where you are.
