How Procrastination Is Impacting Your Life 🫠


Hellooo and Happy Friday Gareth,

I was listening to a good friend of mine, Darryn Eggleton, speak on a Podcast recently.

Darryn is a full-time artist. He is employed by a fine art gallery to paint. Effectively he has targets to hit by producing a certain amount of paintings. So that means he has to paint all day. 

While this is Darryn’s passion, he is still human like you and me. Some morning’s he doesn’t feel like being creative, additionally he is also a wonderful procrastinator like many of us!

But if he doesn’t paint, he doesn’t eat….so he has to find a way to get into the flow. He speaks about it in the Podcast from this point (click to listen)

So here I am this morning, using his advice for this weeks Newsletter, because my Procrastination state is playing hardball with me 😉

COST OF PROCRASTINATION:

So what is the cost?

1 – it’s a loss of time
2 – it’s a loss of business/social opportunities
3 – it’s a loss of clients
4 – it worsens your mood
5 – it creates a massive opportunity cost too (what else could you have been doing?)

And….it’s feeding your lack of self worth.

How do you improve your procrastination?

1 – Make quicker decisions
2 – OR Give this a crack…

First thing when you wake up, say “Do It Now” – FIFTY TIMES
Last thing before you go to sleep, say “Do It Now” – FIFTY TIMES
