“I am pretty sure at some point, we’re going to declare Cannabis as the most versatile medicine on earth”

Medicine Hunter. Pioneer. Yogi. Author. Plant Medicine Expert. Educator. Firewalker. Environmentalist. Smiler. Storyteller. Chief. Maxipe.

The earth is such an amazing place, filled with all these naturally existing treasures. So many of them are untouched and unexplored as mother nature has hidden these wonderful healing medicinal plants in the world’s most remote locations. A ‘treasure hunt’ to find them is something which adds to the curiosity of the human mind.

Our guest this week, Chris Kilham, is the ultimate trailblazer and has visited over 45 countries. When Chris visits, he goes to the unexplored corners to immerse himself in the local ancient cultures and learn their traditional ways of healing, relaxation and enjoyment. His main drivers are to promote natural plant-based medicines, to protect the natural environment and to support indigenous cultures.

Chris, is the founder of Medicine Hunter Inc. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and had a very colourful upbringing. His first experience with a psychoactive drug was when he was 15 and that was also around the age when him and his liberal thinking friends took an interest in meditation and yoga.

The Vietnam War and politics influenced his life greatly. That was also when he started getting involved in apothecaries and learning about herbs and medicinal plants. He also learned to engage in activities that were beneficial for others and the environment.

Chris’ journeys to these remote parts of the world, introduced him to local delicacies like kava, superfoods like maca and psychedelics like ayahuasca, mushrooms, peyote, san pedro and iboga plants. It’s these discoveries which made him start bigger projects to help local communities to farm and manufacture these products. Often helping to greatly boost their economies as a result.

This Podcast is a filled with fascinating facts, which are going to open your mind to the world of plant medicine. Chris explains their history, debunks the myths and tells us the truth based on many years of research. He is a massive advocate of legalising cannabis as it’s cannabinoids are one of the most versatile medicines on earth.

Close your eyes and listen to this great storyteller, take you on his journey of first seeing cannabis in the Altái Mountains of Siberia, fire-walking with native tribes in the South Pacific, experiencing the psychedelic benefits of Ayahuasca and meeting Shaman ladies in Peru who are soothsayers that read the back of cocoa leaves.

We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did.

Let’s find out what it means for Chris Kilham to be Ridiculously Human.
